Intro

Plazma offers a distinctive blend of high-gloss Eurodance and melancholic synth-pop, characterized by their commitment to English lyrics within the Russian pop landscape. Their sound is defined by shimmering synthesizer textures, driving four-on-the-floor rhythms, and a vocal delivery that balances pop accessibility with a deeper, often romantic baritone. It is music that feels both expansive and intimate, capturing the energy of a club while maintaining a wistful, almost cinematic sense of longing.

What truly sets them apart is the 'Slow Motion' DNA: a focus on melodic songwriting that bridges the gap between 80s New Wave and 2000s electronic dance music. The production is consistently clean and professional, avoiding the harsher edges of industrial synth music in favor of a lush, radio-ready sheen. Their ability to craft hooks that feel universal, despite their specific cultural origin, creates a listening experience that is both nostalgic for the turn of the millennium and surprisingly timeless.

Start with their debut 'Take My Love' for the quintessential 2000s dance-pop experience, or dive into '607' to hear their sound evolve into more sophisticated, atmospheric territory. It is the perfect soundtrack for moments of transition: night drives, travel, or the quiet reflection that follows a high-energy event.

Plazma (previously known as Slow Motion) is a Russian pop band consisting of Roman Chernitsyn (vocals, lyrics, music) and Maxim Postelniy (background vocals, keyboards, music and arrangements). The band was one of the first Russian pop band to produce its songs exclusively in English for a Russian-speaking audience. Their first two albums, Take My Love (Plazma album) and 607 (album), put the band on top of the Russian charts. The third album, Black and White (Plazma album), was released in 2006. In December 2017, Plazma released their fourth studio album — Indian Summer (Plazma album). The band participated in Russian national selection for Eurovision Song Contest three times: in 2007 with the song "Living In The Past", in 2009 with the song "Never Ending Story", and in 2010 with the song "Mystery (The Power Within)".
