Hard-hitting Detroit rap with a bar-room grit. Punchy, authentic storytelling backed by the polished, heavy-bass production of the Shady Records golden era.
Detroit rapper Obie Trice emerged from the Midwest hip-hop scene, gaining prominence after signing with Eminem's Shady Records in 2000. He achieved significant commercial success with his top-ten Billboard 200 albums Cheers and Second Round's on Me. Following his departure from the imprint, Trice established his own label, Black Market Entertainment. Through this independent venture, he released subsequent projects including Bottoms Up, The Hangover, and The Fifth.
