Formed in New York City in 1998, Terror Squad is an East Coast hip-hop collective. The group gained initial recognition through collaborations on Fat Joe’s early projects before releasing their debut album in 1999. Despite the 2000 death of prominent member Big Pun, the ensemble achieved significant commercial success, notably reaching number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2004 with their hit single Lean Back while signed to labels including Atlantic Records.
