Formed in Brooklyn in 2004, the American indie pop duo Matt and Kim consists of keyboardist-vocalist Matt Johnson and drummer Kim Schifino. Known for their high-energy live performances and danceable sound, the pair has released six studio albums. Their 2009 record Grand achieved significant recognition, featuring the RIAA gold-certified single Daylight. The group has evolved from playing intimate local lofts to performing at major festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Firefly.
