Originating in London, the United Kingdom, the electronica project DJ Food began in 1990 under the direction of Coldcut members Jonathan More and Matt Black. Initially established as a collaborative effort for the Ninja Tune label, the act featured a rotating lineup of contributors including Patrick Carpenter. Today, the project functions as a solo endeavor led by Kevin Foakes, who continues to represent the group under the moniker Strictly Kev.
