Released in late 2023, Inland Delta represents a significant shift in Geir Jenssen's (Biosphere) methodology. While his previous work often relied on complex sampling and digital manipulation to evoke arctic landscapes, this album was born from improvised performances on a collection of newly restored vintage keyboards. This hardware-centric approach results in a warmer, more harmonically rich sound than the 'glacial' textures of his 90s output. The tracks are named after scientific phenomena - such as Brownian motion and delta functions - reflecting a fascination with the underlying structures of the physical world.
