Formed in 1977 in Los Angeles, X emerged as a pivotal American punk and alternative rock band. The original lineup featured Exene Cervenka, John Doe, Billy Zoom, and D. J. Bonebrake. Throughout their career, the group released seven studio albums and earned significant critical acclaim for their influential sound. Although they announced a final album and farewell tour in 2024, the band intends to continue performing live together in a non-touring capacity.
