Twister

Twister is a prominent fixture in the Hungarian melodic heavy metal scene, formed in Budapest in 2007. The band's sound identity is built on a foundation of traditional heavy metal and hard rock, characterized by technical guitar work and high-energy vocal performances.

Their evolution saw a significant jump in production quality between their 2011 debut 'Az Ördög lánya' and the 2013 follow-up 'Duplacsavar', the latter of which was recorded at the studio of Gábor Kovács (Wisdom), a key figure in Hungarian power metal. This connection solidified their place within the regional scene, moving them toward a more 'international' power metal sound while retaining lyrics primarily in their native Hungarian. Critically, they are respected for their consistency and the dual-guitar attack of Szávai and Pető. While they have experimented with English versions of their tracks (as seen on the 'Insight' EP), their core identity remains deeply tied to the Hungarian metal tradition, blending aggressive riffing with accessible, melodic songwriting structures.
