Formed in Chicago in 1993, The Handsome Family is an American alternative country and Americana duo comprised of spouses Brett and Rennie Sparks. Now based in Albuquerque, the pair gained widespread recognition when their track Far from Any Road served as the theme for the television series True Detective. With a discography spanning over three decades, the group continues to produce music, most recently releasing their eleventh studio album, Hollow, in 2023.
