Psyclon Nine

Aggressive industrial metal fused with blackened electronics. A high-velocity collision of digital noise and raw human screaming for the darkest dance floors.

Intro

Psyclon Nine delivers a sonic assault that bridges the gap between the strobe-lit intensity of hard dance music and the visceral aggression of black metal. Their sound is characterized by punishing drum machine patterns, jagged guitar riffs, and Nero Bellum's signature rasp, which sounds like it was recorded through a failing circuit board. It is music that feels both technologically advanced and primally destructive.

What sets them apart is the evolution from straightforward 'Aggrotech' into a more complex, atmospheric industrial metal entity. They utilize modular synthesis and extreme distortion not just for volume, but to create a sense of impending collapse. The textures are frequently dense and suffocating, yet they maintain a rhythmic drive that demands movement, however violent that movement might be.

New listeners should start with 'Crwn Thy Frnicatr' to experience the peak of their blackened-industrial crossover era. For those who prefer a more electronic, club-oriented approach, 'INRI' provides the foundational harsh EBM sound that defined the mid-2000s underground scene.

Psyclon Nine is an American band formed in 2000 in San Francisco, CA, known for their unique blend of electronic, industrial metal. Originally, Psyclon Nine's music was Terror EBM with melancholic atmospheres and black metal style vocals. However, the band has since evolved a more industrial metal sound with black metal elements. Psyclon Nine's main music contributor is lead vocalist, lyricist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Nero Bellum, who is the only remaining original member. In 2009, Psyclon Nine's fourth album We the Fallen was the band's first and only album to appear on the Billboard Charts.
