Formed in Helsinki in 2003, Poets of the Fall is a Finnish alternative rock and post-grunge band signed to Insomniac. The group features members Marko Saaresto, Olli Tukiainen, Markus Kaarlonen, Jani Snellman, Jaska Mäkinen, and Jari Salminen. Recognized with an MTV Europe Music Award for Best Finnish Act, the band is also noted for their long-standing creative collaborations with game developer Remedy Entertainment, contributing music to titles like Max Payne 2 and the Alan Wake series.
