Growing up as the son of a robotics engineer, Raftis was heavily influenced by the mechanical complexity of Detroit's industrial landscape. His sound identity is characterized by hyper-detailed sound design, utilizing custom-built sensor instruments and organic generative systems programmed in C++. This technical rigor is balanced by a synaesthetic approach to composition, where sound and vision are treated as a singular, evolving entity. After gaining traction in the Detroit techno and hip-hop scenes, Raftis was signed to the prestigious Planet-Mu label, placing him alongside experimental icons like µ-Ziq and Bogdan Raczynski.
