High-velocity Japanese rock that crashes melodic pop vocals into a wall of shoegaze noise. Intense, cathartic, and relentlessly rhythmic.
Formed in Kobe in 2002, the Japanese trio Mass of the Fermenting Dregs creates alternative rock defined by intricate, guitar-heavy arrangements and melodic pop vocals. Known for their intense live performances, the band debuted with a self-titled EP in 2008 via Avocado Records. Since then, they have produced four full-length albums, distributing their music through independent channels and the Flake Sounds label while maintaining a distinct, high-energy sound.
