Indian Askin

Indian Askin is an Amsterdam-based outfit that emerged in the early 2010s as a leading force in the Dutch alternative scene. Centered around the creative vision of Chino Ayala, the band's sound - self-described as 'nu-punk' - is a sophisticated synthesis of garage rock, 60s psychedelia, and 90s grunge.

Their breakthrough came with the debut album 'Sea of Ethanol' (2016), which established their reputation for high-energy live performances and a unique sonic palette featuring distorted bass and vintage synth flourishes. They became festival staples in the Netherlands, performing at major events like Lowlands and Best Kept Secret. The band underwent a significant transition in 2020 when three founding members departed, leaving Ayala to continue the project as a solo-led endeavor.
