Intro

Elemeno P delivers a blast of pure, unadulterated energy that feels like the peak of a New Zealand summer. Their sound is built on a foundation of crunchy, melodic guitars and driving rhythms that lean heavily into the pop-punk and alternative rock aesthetics of the early 2000s. It is music designed for volume, characterized by bright production and choruses that practically demand a crowd singalong.

What sets them apart is a specific brand of 'Kiwi-ana' charm mixed with international-standard power pop. While they share the DNA of American skate-punk, there is a local grit and a lyrical focus on everyday life, fast times, and youthful defiance that feels uniquely grounded. The interplay between Dave Gibson's earnest, soaring vocals and the band's tight, aggressive instrumentation creates a sound that is both polished and visceral.

For the uninitiated, start with their debut 'Love & Disrespect.' It is a masterclass in hook-driven rock, featuring the quintessential tracks that defined a generation of NZ radio. It captures the band at their most exuberant, offering a perfect entry point into their world of high-speed melodies and suburban anthems.

Elemeno P is a New Zealand rock band. The band's first album, Love & Disrespect was released on 4 July 2003, and reached number one on the RIANZ albums chart. Their second album, Trouble in Paradise was released on 24 November 2005 and includes the singles "11:57", "Burn", "One Left Standing", and "You Are". Their third album, Elemeno P was released on 26 May 2008. Elemeno P has been referred to as New Zealand's biggest selling rock band and in 2006 won Best Group at the New Zealand Music Awards.
