Formed in 2011 by Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington, the American electronica duo DARKSIDE emerged from their shared time at Brown University. After debuting with 2013's Psychic and returning from a hiatus for 2021's Spiral, the project expanded into a trio in 2022 with the addition of percussionist Tlacael Esparza. This lineup recorded the improvised Live at Spiral House before releasing their first studio album as a three-piece, Nothing, in early 2025.
