Celesty emerged from the fertile Finnish metal scene of the late 90s, specifically Seinajoki, during the peak of the power metal resurgence. Their sound identity is characterized by a blend of high-speed melodicism and symphonic grandiosity, heavily influenced by the 'Helloween school' of German power metal but infused with the melancholic keyboard textures typical of Finnish acts like Nightwish or Stratovarius.

Over a career spanning four studio albums, they evolved from a traditional power metal outfit into a more complex, symphonic entity, culminating in the 2009 release 'Vendetta', which saw them achieve significant domestic chart success.
