Intro

Bliss n Eso specialize in a brand of hip-hop that feels physically large. Their sound is defined by a sense of wide-open spaces, blending the gritty fundamentals of boom-bap with lush, cinematic arrangements that often incorporate strings, choirs, and soaring melodic hooks. It is music that aims for the rafters, trading in the claustrophobia of the club for the scale of a summer festival main stage.

What truly sets them apart is the technical interplay between the three members. Emcees Bliss and Eso possess a rare chemistry, often finishing each other's sentences or weaving complex internal rhyme schemes that feel effortless. Grounding the vocal pyrotechnics is DJ Izm, whose world-class turntablism brings a tactile, scratch-heavy texture to the music that honors hip-hop's four pillars while pushing into modern pop territory.

Start with 'Flying Colours' or 'Circus in the Sky' to hear them at their peak of cultural dominance. These albums perfectly capture their ability to balance deeply personal storytelling with the kind of massive, infectious energy that turned them into one of Australia's most successful live acts.

Bliss n Eso (formerly known as Bliss n' Esoterikizm) are an Australian hip-hop trio based in Sydney. The group consists of emcees Bliss and Eso, and DJ Izm, and they are currently signed to Melbourne record label Illusive Sounds, and are managed and booked by label co-founders Adam Jankie and Matt Gudinski. They have also won two ARIA Awards for Best Urban Release for their 2008 album Flying Colours and for Best Music Video for their 2017 single "Moments". Eso, under his alias Esoterik, released an album entitled My Astral Plane in May 2018.
