Throttle Promoter

Released in late 2007, Throttle Promoter serves as a bridge between the landmark 'Body Riddle' and the more expansive 'Turning Dragon'. This four-track EP showcases Chris Clark's (now simply Clark) evolution toward a more aggressive, club-adjacent sound while maintaining his signature focus on tactile, analog textures. The EP is characterized by its heavy use of tape saturation and overdriven percussion, particularly on tracks like 'Dirty Pixie'. It represents a period where Clark was moving away from the more melodic, modern-classical influences of his earlier work toward a darker, more industrial-tinged IDM.
