Released in 2011, The Discovery is widely considered the magnum opus of Born of Osiris and a landmark release for the progressive metalcore and djent movements. It marked a significant evolution for the band, notably being their first recording to utilize seven-string guitars, which expanded their harmonic and rhythmic range.
