Straight Out of Hell

Released in 2013, Straight Out of Hell represents the peak of the 'Deris-era' Helloween lineup's creative output. Following the darker 7 Sinners, the band consciously moved toward a more accessible and positive sound, influenced by a desire to counter the grim atmosphere of contemporary world events. Produced by longtime collaborator Charlie Bauerfeind, the album features a dense, layered sound that highlights the interplay between guitarists Michael Weikath and Sascha Gerstner. The record is notable for its variety, ranging from the progressive-leaning 'Nabataea' to the more aggressive 'World of War' and the tongue-in-cheek 'Asshole'.
