Released in 2013, Sriwedari represents a pivotal moment for Maliq & D'Essentials, marking their first full-length collaboration with keyboardist Ilman Ibrahim. Originally conceived as a 'Greatest Hits' package with a few new tracks, the creative momentum during recording sessions led the band to pivot toward an entirely new studio album.
