Something Else

Released in 2008, Something Else represents Robin Thicke's most concerted effort to align himself with the lineage of soul greats like Marvin Gaye and Curtis Mayfield. Following the massive success of 'The Evolution of Robin Thicke,' this album doubled down on live instrumentation and analog warmth. Recorded primarily at his own studio, the album features a more optimistic lyrical outlook, largely inspired by his marriage at the time.
