Projects in the Jungle

Released in 1984, Projects in the Jungle is the second studio album by Pantera, produced by Jerry Abbott. It represents a significant step forward from their debut, Metal Magic, moving away from pure derivative glam toward a more muscular heavy metal sound. While still firmly rooted in the 'glam metal' aesthetic of the early 80s, the album features technical guitar work from Diamond Darrell (later Dimebag Darrell) that far exceeds the standards of the genre at the time.
