Metalizer

Though released in 2007, Metalizer is effectively Sabaton's 'lost' debut, recorded in 2002 but shelved due to label disputes with Underground Symphony. Consequently, it represents a stylistic era the band had already moved past by the time fans heard it. Sonically, it is a departure from their established 'History Channel Metal' identity; the lyrics focus on traditional metal themes like motorcycles, hell, and fantasy rather than specific 20th-century battles. The album serves as a bridge between the raw demo energy of 'Fist for Fight' and the more structured power metal of 'Primo Victoria.' It includes a notable cover of Judas Priest's 'Jawbreaker,' which highlights the band's primary influences during this formative period.
