Lost Forever // Lost Together

Released in 2014, Lost Forever // Lost Together is the sixth studio album by Brighton-based Architects and is widely considered their magnum opus. Recorded at Studio Fredman in Sweden with producers Fredrik Nordström and Henrik Udd, the album marked a significant shift toward a more 'live' and aggressive sound compared to its predecessor, Daybreaker. While the band maintained their penchant for technical proficiency, they integrated influences from post-rock and ambient music, specifically citing Sigur Rós and This Will Destroy You. This resulted in a unique 'Architects way of doing heavy' that blended mathcore complexity with atmospheric depth. Lyrically, the album moved away from specific political grievances toward broader existential themes, environmental concerns, and the human condition.
