Flag of Hate

Released in 1986, Flag of Hate is a seminal EP that bridges the gap between Kreator's debut, Endless Pain, and their masterpiece, Pleasure to Kill. While the title track is a re-recording of a song from their debut, the new material showcased on this release - specifically 'Take Their Lives' and 'Awakening of the Gods' - demonstrates a significant leap in songwriting complexity. The tracks are notably longer, incorporating progressive structures and more varied tempos while maintaining the band's signature high-velocity attack. Recorded during the peak of the European thrash explosion, the EP solidified Kreator's position as leaders of the 'Teutonic Big Four.'
