Zurdok is a seminal Mexican alternative rock band from Monterrey, emerging as a cornerstone of the 'Avanzada Regia' movement in the 1990s. Originally formed as Zurdok Movimento, the band initially leaned into a heavy grunge and funk-metal sound on their debut 'Antena'.
However, they underwent a radical sonic evolution with the release of 'Hombre Sintetizador' (1999), moving toward a sophisticated art-rock and psychedelic aesthetic characterized by lush arrangements and existential themes. This shift was partly defined by the departure of co-vocalist Fernando Martz, leaving Chetes as the primary creative voice.
