Tender art-rock where violin melodies meet beatbox rhythms. A playful, organic blend of Czech folk roots and modern industrial textures for curious listeners.
Zrní creates a sound they call 'tender art brut,' a tactile and deeply human experience that feels like it was grown in the soil of Kladno and polished in a local workshop. It is music that breathes, alternating between the intimacy of a wooden flute and the mechanical pulse of a city. The interplay of acoustic guitars and violins provides a grounding folk foundation, while subtle electronic glitches and beatboxing add a layer of modern restlessness.
What truly sets them apart is their ability to find magic in the mundane. They bridge the gap between the natural world and the industrial landscape, singing about apple orchards and steelworks with equal reverence. Their arrangements are dense but never heavy, favoring a playful curiosity that makes each song feel like a small, intricate machine coming to life. It is music that feels both ancient and contemporary, rooted in Czech tradition but looking toward a surreal future.
Start with 'Soundtrack ke konci světa' to hear them at their most evocative and award-winning peak. It perfectly captures their blend of apocalyptic tension and gentle hope, showcasing the unique chemistry of a band that has played together since high school without a single lineup change.
