Born in 1999, American rapper Nicholas Alexander Simmons, professionally known as YBN Nahmir, emerged as the primary figure of the YBN collective. Associated with Southern hip-hop, trap, and gangsta rap, he gained prominence through his 2017 hit Rubbin Off the Paint. While subsequent singles like Bounce Out with That and Opp Stoppa saw chart success, his 2021 debut studio album, Visionland, released under Atlantic and Def Jam, faced significant critical and commercial disappointment.
