Intro

Wonho creates a sonic world that feels both physically imposing and emotionally delicate. His music is defined by a high-gloss finish, where shimmering synthesizers and driving funk-influenced basslines provide a foundation for his signature breathy vocal delivery. It is the sound of modern metropolitan life, captured in the transition between a high-energy dance floor and a quiet, reflective walk home.

What truly sets him apart is the duality of his performance. While his production often leans into maximalist K-pop structures, his vocal treatment is surprisingly intimate, often recorded with a close-mic technique that makes the listener feel like he is sharing a secret. He moves seamlessly from falsetto-heavy R&B slow jams to aggressive, synth-driven anthems without losing his core identity of vulnerable strength.

Start with 'Open Mind' to experience his mastery of the groove, then dive into 'Losing You' to hear the stripped-back emotional core of his songwriting. For those who want the full cinematic experience, the 'Facade' EP offers a perfect cross-section of his experimental pop sensibilities.

Lee Ho-seok (Korean: 이호석, born March 1, 1993), known by his stage name Wonho (Korean: 원호), is a South Korean singer under Highline Entertainment. He is a former member of South Korean boy group Monsta X under Starship Entertainment. In 2020, he made his solo debut with the EP Love Synonym Pt.1: Right for Me, alongside its lead single "Open Mind", which charted both on the Gaon Chart and Billboard charts. In 2021, he signed with Intertwine Records, a partnership between Eshy Gazit and BMG, for his activities in the United States. He also made his Japanese debut with the single "On the Way", which charted on the Oricon Singles Chart. After his South Korea's mandatory military service discharge in 2024, he released "What Would You Do". In 2025, he released his first studio album Syndrome, supported by the singles "Better Than Me", "Good Liar", and "If You Wanna", under Intertwine Records.
