Murky, introspective rap that feels like a cold 3am walk. Hazy cloud rap textures meet sharp, technical flows for moments of quiet, heavy reflection.
Wifisfuneral creates a sound that is deeply insular, often feeling like you are eavesdropping on a private internal monologue. The music is characterized by its 'underwater' quality, where melodies are filtered and drums are crisp but isolated. It is the sound of South Florida's darker corners, trading the typical party energy for a heavy, atmospheric weight.
What sets him apart is the technicality hidden within the haze. While he is often grouped with the SoundCloud era, his flow patterns reveal a deep respect for boom-bap lyricism and complex internal rhymes. He uses a deadpan, almost whispered delivery that forces the listener to lean in, making his confessions about addiction and isolation feel dangerously intimate.
Start with 'Boy Who Cried Wolf' to hear him at his most cohesive. It captures the perfect balance between his technical rapping ability and the moody, lo-fi production that defines the emo rap subgenre.
Isaih Rivera (born March 20, 1997), known professionally as Wifisfuneral, is an American rapper. Best known for his association with fellow South Florida rapper XXXTentacion, he was chosen as part of XXL magazine's Annual Freshman Class in 2018. That same year, he signed with Interscope Records, although he released no major projects under the label. In early 2020, Wifisfuneral announced his retirement; however, this proved to be short-lived as he released his debut studio album, Pain? in August of that year.
