Gritty southern storytelling meets a wall of shoegaze feedback. Country-twang melodies that aren't afraid to explode into cathartic, distorted noise.
Formed in Asheville in 2017, Wednesday is an American indie rock band that blends elements of shoegaze, noise rock, and alternative country. Originally a solo project by vocalist and guitarist Karly Hartzman, the group evolved into a five-piece ensemble featuring MJ Lenderman, Xandy Chelmis, Alan Miller, and Ethan Baechtold.
