Intro

Vargo creates a soundscape that feels like a warm, physical embrace. It is the definitive sound of the Ibiza sunset: expansive, liquid, and deeply restorative. The music moves at a human heart rate, utilizing soft-edged synthesizers and gentle, organic percussion that never intrudes on the listener's headspace. It is less about the dance floor and more about the recovery after the party, or the quiet moments of reflection before it begins.

What sets Vargo apart is the intentionality behind the 'wellbeing' aesthetic. While many chillout acts settle for background wallpaper, producer Ansgar Ueffink injects a sense of profoundness through meticulous layering and Stephanie Hundertmark's intimate, breathy vocal delivery. There is a spiritual undercurrent here, a deliberate attempt to 'open up' the listener emotionally through harmonic progressions that feel both nostalgic and hopeful.

Start with the 2004 album 'Beauty'. It captures the duo at their creative peak, featuring the iconic 'Get Back to Serenity'. It is the perfect entry point for anyone seeking music that functions as a sanctuary from the noise of modern life, offering a seamless blend of acoustic warmth and digital precision.

Vargo is an electronic music band composed of producer Ansgar Üffink and vocalist Stephanie Hundertmark. The success of Vargo's 2001 single "Get Back to Serenity", released on several compilations, enabled the duo to produce their 2004 album, Beauty. Vargo is associated with the Café del Mar, and was the first German act to be included in its compilations. Vargo's music has been included on over 50 compilations. In 2014, Stefanie Hundertmark left the band. Vargo focused on DJing & initiated a new radio show called LOST IN MUSIC on Planet Radio.
