Intro

Airi Suzuki delivers a masterclass in modern J-pop that bridges the gap between the meticulously crafted idol world and sophisticated contemporary dance music. Her sound is defined by an undeniable vocal prowess that feels both effortless and immensely powerful, soaring over production that ranges from funky, bass-driven grooves to shimmering electronic anthems. It is music that feels expensive, polished, and vibrantly alive.

What truly sets her apart is the technical agility of her voice. Having spent over a decade in the legendary Hello! Project system, she possesses a level of control and stage presence that most soloists take a lifetime to develop. Her solo work sheds the group-oriented constraints of her youth, leaning into more mature R&B textures and high-energy pop-rock while maintaining the infectious optimism that her fans adore.

Start with her solo debut album 'Do me a favor' to hear the transition from idol to independent pop force. The track 'Distance' serves as the perfect gateway, showcasing her ability to command a dancefloor with sharp, rhythmic delivery and a chorus that demands your full attention.

After Cute and Buono! disbanded in 2017, Suzuki left Hello! Project and debuted as a solo singer with the album Do Me a Favor, with "Distance" as its lead track.
