Tragedy Khadafi, born Percy Chapman, is a foundational figure in East Coast hip-hop, specifically within the Queensbridge lineage. He is widely credited with coining the term 'illmatic,' which would later title Nas's seminal debut, and he played a pivotal role in the development of the 'mafioso rap' subgenre.
