The Medium

The Medium is a Nashville-based quartet that has carved out a niche within the modern psych-pop and indie rock landscape by channeling the sophisticated melodicism of the late 1960s and early 1970s. Formed in 2015, the band - consisting of Shane Perry, Sam Juras, Michael Brudi, and Jared Hicks - specializes in a sound that bridges the gap between the baroque pop of The Zombies and the eccentric art-rock of Harry Nilsson.

Their sound identity is characterized by dense vocal harmonies, prominent vintage keyboard work (Mellotron, Vox organ), and a production aesthetic that favors analog warmth and tape saturation.
