The Lost Children of Babylon

Dense, esoteric boom bap that feels like a secret lecture in a dusty basement. Spiritual hip-hop for those who prefer their beats heavy and their lyrics hermetic.

Intro

The Lost Children of Babylon sound like a transmission from a hidden library beneath the Philadelphia streets. Their music is anchored by the classic, dusty boom-bap aesthetic of the late 90s, but it is elevated by a relentless focus on the arcane. Expect heavy, neck-snapping drum loops paired with haunting orchestral samples, creating a backdrop that feels both ancient and urgent.

What truly sets them apart is their uncompromising lyrical density. This is not casual listening; it is a curriculum. The group weaves together Nuwaubian philosophy, Egyptian mythology, and radical geopolitics into complex ciphers. Each track functions as a multi-layered puzzle, delivered with the aggressive, technical precision of the Jedi Mind Tricks school of underground rap.

Start with 'Where Light Was Created: The Equidivium' to experience their foundational spiritual era. It is the perfect entry point for anyone who loves the intersection of gritty East Coast production and high-concept, metaphysical storytelling.

The Lost Children of Babylon (LCOB) are a spiritual alternative hip hop music group based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The group was founded by Rasul Allah and The Breath Of Judah in the mid 1990s and first appeared in 1996 on the Jedi Mind Tricks' Amber Probe. The original core members are Rasul Allah, The Breath of Judah, Richard Raw, Cosmic Crusader and Ancient Kemet. Their messages are influenced by Nuwaubian philosophy, Islam, and the Nation of Gods and Earths; their subject matter draws from such topics as revolutionary politics, physics, philosophy, spirituality, science fiction, and mythology, of various traditions.
