Intro

The Digital Age creates a sound that is both technologically precise and emotionally massive. It is music that feels like it was composed in a high-tech lab but intended to be played in a cathedral or an open field. You will hear the DNA of modern indie rock, but it is polished to a brilliant, crystalline sheen where every synth pulse and guitar chime is perfectly placed in the stereo field.

What truly sets them apart is their obsession with the intersection of the organic and the digital. While many of their peers lean into folk-inspired warmth, this group embraces the '1s and 0s,' using glitchy textures and electronic percussion to build anthems that feel futuristic yet deeply human. The vocal arrangements are particularly striking, often featuring dense, choir-like stacks that provide a sense of communal triumph.

Start with the album 'Galaxies' to hear them at their most ambitious. It captures that specific feeling of being very small under a very large sky, blending the drive of 2010s alternative rock with a sense of wonder that is rare in modern production.

The Digital Age was a band from Waco, Texas consisting of four of the six members of the former David Crowder Band. They formed in 2012 after David Crowder Band's final tour. They disbanded in 2020.
