Formed in Wakefield in 2002, The Cribs are a British band blending punk and indie rock. The group features brothers Gary, Ryan, and Ross Jarman. Former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr also served as an official member from 2008 to 2011. Throughout their career, the band has released music through Wichita Recordings, earning recognition as a prominent cult act and receiving the Spirit of Independence award at the 2012 Q Awards.
