Gritty East LA rock and roll that fuses bluesy guitar twang with soulful Latin rhythms. Perfect for open roads and late night dive bars.
The Blazers sound like the heartbeat of East Los Angeles, a vibrant collision of classic rock and roll, deep blues, and Chicano soul. Their music is defined by a warm, analog grit that feels lived-in and honest, anchored by driving percussion and infectious guitar riffs. It is the kind of sound that fills a room with immediate, kinetic energy, inviting listeners to move while grounding them in a rich cultural tradition.
What truly sets them apart is the seamless integration of Latin influences into a garage-rock framework. You will hear the squeeze of an accordion or a rhythmic swing that nods to Cumbia or Norteño, layered beneath soulful, often bilingual vocals. This is not a forced fusion, but a natural expression of their environment, resulting in a sound that is both ruggedly American and distinctly local to the East Side.
Start with East Side Soul to hear the band at their most potent. It captures the raw, celebratory spirit of their live performances and serves as a masterclass in how to blend diverse roots music into something that feels singular, urgent, and timeless.
The Blazers is a rock and roll, blues and Latin alternative band, based out of East Los Angeles. Original band members were Manuel Gonzales, Ruben Guaderrama, Ruben Gonzalez and Lee Stuart.
