Formed in Seattle in 1992, Sunny Day Real Estate is an American alternative rock band associated with the Sub Pop label. Featuring vocalist and guitarist Jeremy Enigk, the group gained significant critical recognition with their 1994 debut album, Diary. Despite their origins in the Pacific Northwest, the band played a foundational role in the development of the Midwest emo scene before experiencing various lineup changes and hiatuses throughout their career.
