Originating from Victoria, British Columbia, Spiritbox is a Canadian heavy metal band formed in 2017 by vocalist Courtney LaPlante and guitarist Michael Stringer. The group, which also includes drummer Zev Rose and bassist Josh Gilbert, blends metalcore and progressive metal with electronic influences and R&B-inspired vocals. Currently signed to Rise Records, the band emerged from the founders' desire for greater artistic expression following their time in previous musical projects.
