Small World

Small World is primarily the alias of Paul Hunter, a Glasgow-based producer and DJ who emerged as a significant figure in the UK's mid-90s electronic scene. Hunter's work under this moniker is a masterclass in the 'downtempo' and 'trip-hop' movements, characterized by a sophisticated use of sampling that bridges the gap between hip-hop production and jazz sensibilities.

His career is marked by a deep connection to the '90s electronic zeitgeist, most notably through his association with the influential Kruder & Dorfmeister, whose endorsement of the track 'Livin' Free' provided Hunter with international underground acclaim. Beyond his creative output, Hunter's influence extends into music education and label management, having served as a lecturer at BIMM Manchester and founding Red Hook Recordings.
