Intro

Skeme delivers a sound that is quintessentially Los Angeles but carries a unique, textured grit. His voice is his primary instrument, a raspy and commanding presence that feels both weathered and youthful. The production often leans into the 'bounce' of the West Coast while incorporating the heavy low-end and crisp snares of modern trap, creating a bridge between classic regional styles and contemporary radio trends.

What truly sets him apart is the subtle Southern drawl that colors his delivery, a nod to his family roots that adds a layer of soulfulness rarely found in his peers. His flow is versatile, shifting effortlessly from rapid-fire technicality to melodic, hook-heavy passages that stick in the ear. It is music that feels expensive yet grounded in the reality of Inglewood streets.

For those new to his catalog, the 'Ingleworld' series is the definitive starting point. It showcases his ability to curate a cohesive mood that is equal parts celebratory and contemplative. It is the ideal soundtrack for moments of transition, whether you are physically moving through the city or mentally preparing for a major life pivot.

Lonnie Alphonso Kimble (born January 3, 1990), better known by his stage name Skeme, is an American rapper from Inglewood, California. In 2012, Skeme released his debut studio album Alive & Living under RBC Records, and his second studio album Ingleworld (2013), was released by MADE Headlines. In July 2014, fellow West Coast rapper the Game announced that he had signed Skeme to Blood Money Entertainment. By 2016, Skeme parted ways with the label and signed with DJ Drama's Generation Now label, alongside frequent collaborator Lil Uzi Vert.
