Formed in Sydney in 1997, Sick Puppies is an Australian band blending alternative rock, metal, and post-grunge. Originally established by bassist Emma Anzai and Shimon Moore, the group gained significant international attention in 2006 through their viral Free Hugs Campaign anthem. Following various lineup shifts, including the addition of Bryan Scott, the group continues to record under Virgin Records, most recently releasing their studio album Wave the Bull in 2025.
