Sophisticated Yugoslavian jazz-rock with warm Hammond organ swells and soulful brass. Intricate, groovy, and deeply atmospheric 1970s fusion.
Formed in 1975 in Ljubljana, September emerged as a leading force within the Yugoslav rock scene. The group initially gained national recognition for their jazz-influenced debut, Zadnja avantura. Following significant lineup changes, the band shifted toward a more straightforward rock style on their subsequent album, Domovina moja. Although the original iteration dissolved in 1979, the ensemble reunited for select live appearances in 2003 and 2012 to revisit their musical legacy.
