Formed in New York City in 2001, Scissor Sisters are an American ensemble known for blending glam rock, pop, electronic, nu-disco, and electroclash. The group features members Jake Shears, Ana Matronic, Babydaddy, Del Marquis, Paddy Boom, and Randy Real. Signed to Polydor, the band achieved significant international success with their 2004 self-titled debut, which topped UK charts and became the year's best-selling album, eventually earning multi-platinum certification and multiple BRIT Award nominations.
