SAM

SAM, an acronym for Synthetic Adrenaline Music, is a German industrial project formed in 2004 by Joe and Daniel. They emerged during a pivotal era for the 'Rhythmic Noise' and 'TBM' (Techno Body Music) scenes, bridging the gap between the abrasive experiments of powernoise and the danceability of EBM.

Their debut self-titled album and the subsequent 'Destruction Unit' (2008) established them as fixtures in the German Alternative Charts (DAC). Sonically, SAM is characterized by high-intensity percussion, heavy use of distortion, and a 'wall of sound' production style that leaves little room for silence. They are closely associated with the Pro Noize label and the broader 'Dark Dimensions' family, placing them in a lineage of artists like Xotox and Soman. Their work is a staple of industrial dancefloors, valued for its high energy and uncompromising mechanical aesthetic. Critically, they are seen as masters of the 'club-hit' formula within the noise subgenre, successfully making abrasive sounds accessible to the dark-electro scene.
