Formed in Sydney in 2019, Australian duo Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic comprise the indie pop act Royel Otis. Signed to Capitol Records, the pair blends elements of indie rock, new wave, pop rock, and psychedelic rock. Following a series of EPs and their 2024 debut album Pratts & Pain, the group earned four ARIA Music Awards. They continued their musical evolution with the August 2025 release of their sophomore studio album, Hickey.
